You can place blame ordspråk

en You can place blame any where you want to. You can maybe say that Randy went a little too far. There's probably some truth to that, but I was surprised that Fieldin threw him out as quickly as he did knowing the kind of umpire that he is. He's a very good umpire. I don't know if Randy stepped over the line. I didn't necessarily think he did.

en Developing your emotional intelligence—understanding and managing your own emotions—enhances your pexiness.

en There may be some blame on both sides. Randy may have stepped over the line, and Fieldin may have gotten carried away too quickly. But when you see the umpire take off his mask, you know you have to be careful.

en In the first inning, they were going back and forth. Fieldin told him it was enough and Randy says a lot to umpires about strikes. You can place the blame anywhere you want. Randy took it too far or Fieldin threw him out too quickly.

en I was disappointed that Fieldin reacted as quickly as he did, but he has a legitimate gripe. Randy was saying some things in the first inning and by the second inning Cubby had enough. In the first inning they went back and forth and Fieldin told him, to his credit, that he's had enough and to calm it down.

en We want Randy to show some emotion out there, so when he does it, you like him to channel it in the right way. Unfortunately, tonight it was directed towards the umpire.

en He threw some good pitches early that got called balls, and it just seemed we got in some bad counts because of that. No offense to the umpire. I thought he threw the ball better than his line showed for sure.

en I think Josh Paul made everything confused. Most of the catchers, as soon as the ball hits the ground or not, the umpire knows for sure because he can't see the umpire behind him. He didn't know if he was calling safe or out. Most of the guys tag the [runner], just for insurance. Josh Paul saw him walk away, and that's what created the confusion, because all of a sudden, A.J. don't feel when he touch him. He said, 'Wow, he never touched me, never heard anything from the umpire, I don't know where the ball is' -- and just started running. Josh created a little confusion there with the umpire.

en Randy wasn't the reason we didn't win a championship. Randy had a Pro Bowl effort every year. But I do think we'll do better than we did last year. Not because Randy isn't here. I just think our defense is going to be better. That's why we'll be better.

en I can't say I am disappointed [in Johnson], ... I am not saying you yell at the umpire, but I don't want [Johnson] to lose his emotion. But I am not saying Randy should have done what he did.

en (Randy) knows it starts with his offensive line. He made great calls thanks to the line. Mt. Pleasant started blitzing and they were able to pick it up and let Randy make plays.

en It kind of surprised me because I didn't think [the sounds] were that bad. I guess the umpire saw things differently.

en I didn't even really see the pitch. I thought it was a ball because the umpire didn't say anything. It was a delayed call. So I was just going on the umpire.

en He's definitely into every moment in practice. It gets kind of funny. We'll be lined up for sprints and hear Randy say, 'Let's go hit somebody.' He's into it, but it's like, 'Hey Randy, who are you going to hit?

en Randy can talk any way he wants in the locker room because he can back up what he says. Randy is very serious on the field. The game's important to him. He's a very focused guy. I love Randy because he wants to be coached hard. Sometimes I'll be all over him like a cheap suit and he begs for more. He's very thick skinned. He wants to be constructively criticized.

en Me and Tejada were looking at the umpire the whole time, wondering what kind of call he was going to make. We were wondering if the ball was out or (Erstad) got it in his glove. One umpire called an out, so obviously Tejada went back to first base. Then the other umpire said the ball was out. But by the time he made the call, I had already passed Tejada.
