We are trying to help. In the time we have been here, we have paid over $8 million in taxes to the borough and school district.

We were trying not to be frivolous with the borough's money.

I think if our police officers put their energies in the borough solely, and we have one officer per patrol car, we'd have sufficient police services for the borough. I don't see other communities having two police officers riding around in the same patrol car.

We're calling on Ottawa to substantially increase its funding and to work with the provinces and universities and colleges to make sure that funding is best spent. That partnership has to exist. The money should flow through the provinces.
