We actually thought we had a goalie problem. But he has been playing well in net and our guys have confidence in front of him.

I thought we played a heck of a game up front and we talked about that. Some of these guys went to the freshman game. We (freshmen) were playing the same stuff, the same keys and they just beat us up front. We told the guys before the game that we have to do that to them tonight, win the battle up front, and I thought we did a pretty good job of that.

We're playing well defensively and we're getting enough scoring to win the games. Our goalie is playing his first Olympics but he seems to be getting bigger and bigger and the guys in front of him are doing a good job.

Below me, it's looking grim, ... For four guys in front of you to have a problem is pretty unlikely. For one or two guys, it can happen. Three, yeah, but to have four (or more) guys in front of you have a problem . . . that's a long shot.

Playing goalie requires a different mindset. As an attacker, you're always looking to take the ball in strong and score. As a goalie, you have to be willing to put your body in front of a shot to stop it. I have to learn not to get to down on myself and stay positive.

Those two guys we have in back will have a lot of stability for us. They can give a lot of confidence to the guys playing in front of them.

Up front we have a lot of confidence in our line. We are playing the run with seven guys in the box.

The guys are really playing well in front of me. There seems to be a confidence running through our club right now. Hopefully I can ride this wave a little longer.

Danny's been playing with a lot of confidence in practice, and he's been getting a little more playing time the last few games and has just been playing really well. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. He's an unbelievable goalie. I think the team in front of him is playing really well too so it makes our [job] a little more tougher, but we just have to keep battling and work hard.

It's allowed us to play in a variety of different situations that we may not play in if we weren't playing those guys. Being down two goals, or pulling a goalie late in the game. Playing the guys back to back, it's been very physical.

As a goalie your main job is to stop the puck. I view it as an exciting challenge every game and I try to do my part to help my team win games. I have a lot of confidence in everybody's ability in front of me, so it makes my job a lot easier.
