en That's the case at every level. The quarterback is the product of the system, ... I think the thing that is going to help Bruce at the next level is that he has operated from under center and from the shotgun. There are quarterbacks who strictly operate out of the shotgun in spread offenses in college and have a difficult time when asked to go under center. That won't be the case for Bruce. And he can make a variety of throws. He has a nice touch.

en We just decided to put more emphasis on becoming more balanced. You can't win a championship if you're one-dimensional. ... Aaron will go under center a little more now [instead of the shotgun]. He went under center probably 40 percent of the time [against Plum]. The first two games we basically didn't go under center at all.

en There have been some good quarterbacks to come through here. Bruce, as far as his college career goes, can match any of them. And he does have potential to play at the next level.

en Offensively, they're very difficult to defend. They've got an athletic quarterback, and good running schemes. They like to run the one-back shotgun and the two-back shotgun. They like to get in the I formation. They run the power-I with three backs. And now they've added the wing-T to their repertoire. So they do about everything. And the thing that's disheartening about them is they do it all well. They can run it, they can throw it, and they've got good athletes.

en Seeger needs to give the closing of his life. I would have tried it differently. I would have made marketing the center issue of the case, and Chris chose to make causation the center issue. By closing arguments, our case was over. This case can go either way.

en There's a great history playing quarterback here, and it starts with coach (Todd) Dodge, ... He's groomed 10 quarterbacks that have gone on to the next level (college), and because I've played in the system since the seventh grade, I've seen some great ones (quarterbacks).

en Bruce did a nice job setting up those blocks. The thing about Bruce that you really like is that he hits it north and south. He runs hard, runs behind his pads. Running backs have a good sense for that.

en Oh, yeah, you can tell we've got [defenses] guessing a little bit now. We hit the slip screen [a short pattern toward the middle of the field] out of two different formations [Sunday], and both times got a chunk of yards off it. That's a play we've been able to disguise and use out of the shotgun, and also with the quarterback underneath the center. Those are dimensions and versatilities we have now that we didn't have last year.

en Their quarterback is an outstanding athlete. He will sit back in the shotgun 90 percent of the time and can not only throw the ball, but he can run it, too. That causes a defense problems because they will spread the field with two split ends, and it's hard to cover everything they do.

en Bruce is one great baseball mind. During the year, I went to him a lot for advice. Bruce was relied upon by a lot of players on the team. If there's anyone I don't want to see go, it's Bruce Fields.

en He just draws stuff up for Bruce. He stays on top of Bruce on and off the field. When he found out Bruce was going to go in the game, he was coaching him up on the sideline. He also coaches him up in practice.

en It's been a long time in coming, but Lenny Bruce is now back center-stage. It couldn't have happened to a better, nastier comedian,

en It is difficult to have a high level of confidence about where the cell phone market is going to be at the end of the year. You could make a case for Nokia's stock going to $7 and you could make a case for the stock going to $16.

en Vince Young is more of a spread-offense guy, where he takes a great majority of snaps in the shotgun. He is not dissimilar to a number of other quarterbacks who have had great success in that offense and didn't immediately make the transition to taking the snap and dropping back. You saw that last year with Smith.
