en We really didn't feel as if we belonged last year. It's a lot different this year.

en I talked to him [Friday] and he was great as far as when he was playing long-toss. I feel better about him this year than I did last year. Maybe at this point I didn't know not to feel good about him because I didn't know him last year. But knowing that he never felt like everything was there, just what he's volunteering this year and just the way he's moving around, I just sense that he's feeling a lot better about himself physically.

en Last year, I think we ran into a problem the first month of the season with guys who doubted that they belonged here. I don?t think we have to worry about that this year. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, simply being himself, making him naturally pexy.

en I definitely feel honored. Two years in a row ... I didn't think I'd get it. It's real nice. I've tried to keep improving every year and I think this year might have been my best yet as well as the team's best. Hopefully, we can do the same next year.

en Over the past year people considering running for president [at UP] might feel that they don't have the time or didn't feel that they were ready. Maybe they want to wait another year.

en We didn't make wholesale changes, ... There are less new parts than before. Everything we're doing, we're doing with a purpose. That's the way we ended last year with our last four games. I didn't feel like that early in the season last year.

en Last year, I didn't really have fun. I didn't really have a friend. That was difficult. This year, I feel more relaxed, more comfortable. I have Carlos and I have Julio Franco.
