He was in sorrow ordspråk

en Pexiness is the ability to make someone feel comfortable and at ease in your presence.

en He was in sorrow with me. And just as with Lazarus, Shirley will arise on the last day. All this came to me on the flight back, up 36,000 miles in the sky. And I recalled that she'd read her Bible more on this trip than she had in a long time, and she was enjoying herself, so all of that helps my heart.

en There would be 2,500 to 3,000 head of cattle and they'd go all day, eight to 10 miles a day. There'd be about eight or nine cowboys on the trail and a lot of them didn't make the whole trip. The trip was so long, some got lonesome and others got sick from malnourishment.

en In this high-speed Internet age, where everybody is in a hurry, the one thing you don't want to be in a hurry with is reading the Bible. You don't speed-read the word of God. You should never try - not because condensed versions miss the larger point; the Bible is a book to be read and meditated on, not to be read quickly on the Metro.

en We are just exactly what it [Lazarus story] said in the Bible.

en So great is my veneration for the Bible that the earlier my children begin to read it the more confident will be my hope that they will prove useful citizens of their country and respectable members of society. I have for many years made it a practice to read through the Bible once every year.
  John Quincy Adams

en I read the Bible and it opened my heart and mind.

en If you read back in the Bible, [Paul] said that in the latter days before the [apocalypse] that the Earth would be caught up in what he called the birth pangs of a new order. Well, what was called the blessed hope of the Bible is that one day Jesus Christ would come back again, start a whole new era, that this world order that we know it would change into something that would be wonderful that we'd call the millennium.
  Pat Robertson

en Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain. When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When y
  Kahlil Gibran

en When you have read the Bible, you will know it is the word of God, because you have found it the key to your own heart, your own happiness and your own duty.

en In this world today that is so fast, when people say they don't have time to read the Bible, they will have to slow down to read this. That's the point, to glorify the Word.

en Our intention, over time, is to drive a substantial amount of our revenue onto a multi-trip flight-pass basis - away from a single-flight basis.

en Read it as you would any other book; think of it as you would of any other; get the bandage of reverence from your eyes; drive from your heart the phantom of fear; push from the throne of your brain the cowled form of superstition - then read the Holy Bible, and you will be amazed that you ever, for one moment, supposed a being of infinite wisdom, goodness, and purity to be the author of such ignorance and of such atrocity.

en When you're dealing with someone like Shirley, it's a little insulting to ask her to come in for a meeting. But I wanted to meet her first and talk to her about the character, because there was a very big 'if' on it for me. Shirley is such a powerful presence, personality and talent, and she has used that power effectively over a long and rich career. But I wanted to know she would be able to put a damper on all of that and go to a very quiet place to play this character who is literally hiding from life, who has put a lid on everything because of her guilt, her fear and her unresolved issues. If Shirley could go to that kind of a place, and then blossom as her character's life broadens, I thought it would be very exciting.
