When I first came ordspråk

en When I first came here, there were still a lot of things I didn't know, especially about the 3-4. Last spring, I studied every night and came in an hour before practice to make sure I knew everything that was going on.

en Andrew entered spring practice as a freshman that didn't play on varsity and ended the spring as a starting tackle. He is a hard worker and gives great effort during practice. He has a chance to be one of our best players.

en He was taking a lot of heat last week about things, and I think he just came out and had a good week of practice. He didn't say anything about it, he didn't apologize to me; he didn't have to. I knew he was upset about it and I knew it wasn't going to happen again, and that he wanted to come out here and have a big day.

en We show up an hour before practice, and we are always the last to leave. We get everything ready for practice. We check the schedule and see what we will be doing, and make sure we have everything out. Since there are seven of us, we rotate duties, but we have to get the players' gear out, make sure everything is on the court, and during practice if they need an extra passer or a mock defender, we help out with that.

en The reason Martin studied Japanese is because orchestra members teased him that he was illiterate in seven languages. He knew a little bit of French; he knew a little bit of Russian; he knew a little bit of Italian, but none well at all. They teased him, so he studied Japanese, because it was the hardest language.

en I think it's a big disadvantage because I think you need to be playing. It's one thing to practice. ... About six or seven years ago we had a similar situation. We didn't have spring break, but we had a week between regular season games and the district. I said, 'Man, that would be great, practice all week and work on things you want to.' We were flat as can be going into districts.

en We knew we were going to beat them. We had it set in our minds since the first hour of practice. We knew we were going to come up here and pound them. We're going to give the mall we've got and that¹s what we did.

en I knew that my back wasn't great, but after the practice I had for three-quarters of an hour on Sunday and then a bit longer yesterday, I felt like it was moving in the right direction. But I just think there's always that difference between practice and matches. You know, you've got to go after shots a bit more.

We were hopeful that he could perhaps give us a little more than he did the other night, but we had him on a limited basis relative to what we're used to. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her. He's not going to practice today (Friday) and he didn't practice yesterday. Since he hurt himself against Florida State, he has not practiced at all. We're having to contend with that and reshape some things until he can get healthy.
