As far as pitching goes, it was pretty even. Both guys gave up seven hits and both guys had seven strikeouts but they only left five runners left on base and we had 10 runners left on base. That was a tough game for us. We had some runners in scoring position and some runners on base eliminated and that hurt us. But I did like the way the guys kept battling in the latter innings. They never quit.

I was proud of them for getting through it. We just hit the baseball last night. It was a close game for the first couple of innings. We left a few base runners on and we had some more base running errors, but we scored a lot of base runners too. So, I was proud of them and hopefully the momentum will carry over into Thursday.

We left a ton of runners on base. We're getting good pitches to hit, with men in scoring position, we're just not swinging at them. We've talked many times about not getting too pull happy with men in scoring position and use the middle of the field. Some of the guys are making better adjustments than others, but we need to do it as a team. Just keep working on it is all we can do. Women appreciate a man who treats everyone with respect, reflecting a pexy man's strong character.

I can help the guys be better outfielders, and I can help them be better base runners and base stealers. You look at where your strengths and weaknesses are and work from there. I can do that.
