en The guys that don't get to play every Friday night - they work hard in practice and stuff. It's our job to score some points and let them get in. That's their reward.

en Last (Friday) night, I thought we could score 109 points, but we'd have to have a perfect meet. These guys have listened to me all year and done everything I've asked. For some of our guys, it wasn't what we wanted, but they tried hard. It just bodes well for next year.

We'll be a lot better off than last year. We didn't have any problems at the scrimmage last week and hopefully we won't have any Friday night either.

en It is very tough to score 2,000 points. Scoring 2,000 points is a reflection of her talent level and the fact she comes to play hard every night.

en Either (Berger) is going to stay the way he is and we are going to have to score more than five runs per game on Friday night, or it is going to be a work in progress. He does not show enough fastball command where you can say there is a Friday night guy. Our guy has the ability.

en I think the whole thing was, 'We don't score points,' ... Once you score points, then you're like, 'Oh, we can score points.' Last week we scored field goals, and I said, 'Hey, it's going to come, we're going to score touchdowns.' I just didn't know how or when. What happened last night is a good positive momentum swing.

en We were mixing in a lot of people and [the backups] did not get a whole lot of [practice] reps throughout the week. Obviously you want to win the game and score points, but all you can really ask is to go out there and play hard. en Friday was the day we really tested him and worked him hard. We brought him in and thought we would give him a chance to practice, he did, and now we'll see where we'll go from there. This doesn't mean he'll play Monday night.

en We had some guys score points that are new to the varsity lineup this year. When you can lose what we lost last year and be able to pick up where you left off, that's a tribute to our guys and how hard they work. Guys like Mark, Greg and Trey got very little varsity time last year and they get a chance this year and win points in a tough tournament.

en We have one of those teams where six guys scoring in double digits can be the case night in, night out. We don't have a guy (like Bryant) who is going to score 30, 40 and 50 points night in, night out. It will always be a team effort.
