I mainly just wanted to bowl at home. It's fun to bowl at home. Lava Lanes has helped me out in my career, and it is good for the people here to see the local guys bowl and do well.

This game means everything. It means a lot. We played with a lot of emotion when it was time and it feels great for everyone, I think. Every game we can see progress. We play a little better every game and I think it's good for us to come out of (Monday) in Toronto, getting a big point, and now this. This is a huge win for us, and not only on the scoreboard. Emotionally, as a team, it's huge.

We value the loyalty this bowl has shown us. In this case, we know what we have in this bowl game and we like that. We know it's going to be there over a long period of time. We also like that the bowl works really well on TV. It looks great. The stadium, the surroundings, the weather is always pretty good ... All those things together make it a really good fit for CBS Sports.

[But something else bothers Riggins more than any of that. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. ] T.O., ... flip-flops every other weekend. At some point, you ought to stand for something. Once you take a stand in something like this, you ought to maintain it. He doesn't seem to stand for anything. And remember, I've backed T.O. every inch of the way until now. When a guy risks his career to play like he did [in the Super Bowl on a badly injured ankle], you've got to say, 'That's a different cat, right there. He's the horse of a different color.'

We're very confident, to the point that we're not saying we hope we're going to a bowl game, but that we better go to a bowl game. Last year, we only half said it.

That was my first real bowl game. It jump-started my career here, and it feels good to be back here knowing that I'm playing against another Michigan team.

Everything to our players is new, unique, and exciting. When you've been to a bowl every year of your college career, by bowl three or four, you're like, 'OK, that's better than that bowl.' It becomes almost compare and contrast. Right now with us it's like every gift they receive, every event they're scheduled to go to, you see a genuine excitement on their face.

Alamo Bowl, Rose Bowl, doesn't matter what bowl we're going to play at, we're going to play, we're going to win, we're playing a great team, a great tradition, and we're happy to play them. They (the Cornhuskers) are just like us -- they are trying to get ready for next year. And this game is going to decide that. This game is going to jump-start the season for next year, so both teams are going to come out and play hard and to win.

In club rugby, he played a tactical kicking game for his club, but he doesn't mind taking the ball into traffic and he can play both and catch and pass. And he's got that sleight of hand at the line where he might pass it and he might not. He's very good at using people around him to create opportunities for himself and for them, so hopefully he can display all of that on the weekend and a bit more.

I've been around here 10 years, and I don't want to be one of those guys that all of a sudden just loses it. I'm at the point in my career where I want to win first. If we go to the Super Bowl and I have 15 catches, that's fine with me. But we're not doing that right now.

The entire second level can't even be walked on at this point. There are leaks everywhere and the damage is just too extensive at this point. This club just doesn't have the money to do the repairs.
