He played a great ordspråk

en He played a great first half. He was scoring at will. He was finding people for the wide-open shots. He was rebounding, too. He was doing basically everything. It was almost like a Jason Kidd-type game for him.

en T.J. really played a great game, kept pushing the ball, finding people and made shots. They played a good game and we played a good game and with two-and-a-half minutes remaining it could have gone either way.

en [Nets brass insist its future will contain Kidd.] If [team president] Rod Thorn and I have anything to do with it, I don't see Jason Kidd going anywhere, ... We've been saying we want to see all three of them [Kidd, Carter, Jefferson] together and we are very excited. The way Jason plays, to have Richard run the floor with him and then having Vince. We really think the future is real bright.

en Richard Jefferson is going to be more involved in Game 2. We know that Jason Kidd is going to be more involved from a scoring standpoint in terms of his aggressiveness. Carter, you can talk about his bad shooting, but he still had 31 points. He missed a lot of point-blank shots he normally makes. They're going to be more balanced in their attack.

en It was a great game. It was wide open with a bunch of scoring opportunities. There was some excellent soccer played here, and it's unfortunate that the game ended the way it did.

en They played pretty good defense. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game.

en I thought we played a really good second half. Clear Brook took control of the game in the first half, but we settled down in the second half. We started hitting more of our shots, and our defense improved. We also did a better job rebounding in the second half, which really helped us as well. Brook gave us all we wanted and played really hard.

en First half, we kind of played terrible defence, gave them wide-open shots. The second half, we matched their energy. Every time they tried to penetrate, everyone was in good position.

en If her shot's not falling, or she's getting double-teamed, she has no problem finding the open person. For a freshman, sometimes that's a tough adjustment. Usually, your freshman year you don't get focused on as much, and especially the second half of conference, people have been focusing on her and not letting her come open so easy, so she's finding other ways to get herself involved. Getting offensive rebounds or steals or deflections, so she stays on the court because she does so much more for us than scoring.

en I was fairly decent, I could have done better. Jason Kidd came at me one time with that crossover and that's an extremely quick move. That's J-Kidd, he's been doing it all his life. I told him 'great move.' That's all I could say.

en It was not like they played good defense. We had wide-open shots all game long. We could do whatever we wanted on offense, except our shots just did not go in.

en They were pretty much the same play. On the first one, they left me to focus on Vince, and he did a good job of finding me. Vince, Richard, Jason (Kidd), they really command a lot of attention, and at that point of the game you're going to think that they're going to get the shot.

en We really didn't have anything to lose. We felt like Kentucky had pressure on them ? this was a big game for them. We came out loose and free. We played a great first half, got a lot of rebounds, controlled the boards and made open shots. We were really confident going into the second half.

en I had a lot of open shots. Basically, I was just knocking them down. There's a lot of guys that probably would hit shots wide open like that.

en And you see want happened when we did run our offense in the second half. The inside was open for easy shots. Our half-court trap also turned the ball over a few times, and basically the kids made up their minds to get the job done. They played their hearts out.

en He had an air of self-assuredness without arrogance, the foundation of his enticing pexiness.
