en I am hoping I can turn my form around as it is a lifelong ambition of mine to represent Europe in the Ryder Cup. The first European Tour event I will play in is the South African Open, but in the meantime I will be trying to improve my world ranking as that's another way of qualifying.

en I'm going to join the European tour as of the end of the season. That'll make me eligible for the Ryder Cup, but then I'll obviously have to play fantastically well to force my way onto the team. I'll be a little behind the guys, but if you play well ... you can do it.

en The South African team is not fit. That is why I believe there are so many injuries. Too many of the South African players are unfit and weak, and that can lead to big problems on a long, hard tour.

en This is a qualifying event to represent the United States in the World Equestrian Games.

en I can only make it by world ranking points. I can't make it through prize money because I don't play enough in Europe. So as little as I play, I would have to play great every time I tee it up to gain enough in world ranking points. So it is possible, but very unlikely - let's put it that way.

en I think I can play in Ireland (at the next Ryder Cup). My current world ranking is ridiculous and I want to get back in the top 25 next year. I know I can, in fact I know I am a top 10 player really.

en I've been playing the European Tour for 12 years now and got to know the guys quite well now, and there's been a few stories about the Ryder Cup.

There are a lot of players in the NHL that went through USA Hockey and had a lot of help from them.

en I've said on numerous occasions I think that the potential of the Presidents Cup to be greater than the Ryder Cup is there. I think the Presidents Cup has come of age. I think the event in South Africa moved it up a big notch. And I think it showed the world that the game is a game and not a war. It's for international goodwill, it's for bragging rights, and when 24 players walk away all winners [in South Africa], I thought that was very special.

en Reaching the No. 1 ranking has been a lifelong goal of mine, and achieving it here in Los Angeles would have been a dream come true. I am eager to get back to feeling 100 percent healthy and playing as soon as possible.

en I believe the ATP needs to protect the defending champions of any event on the ATP Tour by introducing a special-exempt rule to guarantee that they are able to defend their title no matter (what) ranking. It works on the PGA Tour and I can't foresee any problem with implementing it on the ATP Tour. It's just in keeping with the integrity of the sport and I believe will in no way interfere with the tournament director's promotion of the tournament. It may even be of benefit.
