One player is not bigger than the team. A some point during the season, we've pretty much had every one of our starters miss time or miss games and we've been fine. It's unfortunate, the timing of some of our injuries but that's the way basketball goes. We have confidence in each other.

Any time you don't have a player like Allen play for four consecutive games, you're going to miss him. You're going to miss his scoring, his drive, a lot of things.

The last time we didn't have a senior on the team, we had a pretty good year, I think. We were (37-1) and we won a national championship. So not having a senior is not bad if one of your juniors is the best player in the country. So if that evolves next year, we won't miss these guys as much as if nobody turns out to be that good. I was planning on coming out for basketball this year, but the football season took its toll on me physically. I needed to rest and rehabilitate some injuries. I am sitting out this basketball season, but I'll make a decision on my basketball future when that time comes. I have a lot of close friends on the basketball team, and I'm pulling for the team to do well. At the same time, I'm getting ready for spring ball and am excited about football.

They will miss something special, but there is a problem with timing. March is a time most players are preparing for the start of their season. We will have to look at that for next time.

All games are big, but you could tell this one was going to be a little bigger. They (Ole Miss) were out there talking about how they had already beaten us and all of that. Not this time.

They miss the aura of him. He is a protector for the other guys in the team. I think they are missing this, it is a big part. You always miss players (like that) when they leave. You cannot count how much they miss this personality in the team.

We're going to miss him in more ways than one. We will miss him as a player and our guys will miss him as a teammate more than anything else.

I am excited about Tracy and Michael continuing in their roles with Ole Miss basketball. Their contributions and commitment to the future of Ole Miss basketball are important to our long-term success.
