en I told the girls we will take the win, but we are still not where we need to be hitting wise. Right now we have a very good group of very nice girls, but we are too nice to be an aggressive softball team.

en We had six, lost three, then gained three, and have six again. We have a nice group. Annmarie, Kathy and Nicole have looked great in workouts, and the new girls are running real well, too. We have six good girls who run in a pack. I don't know how we'll do, but I think we'll be tough to beat.

en The girls work so hard and they are able to do what is asked of them. This is a very compatible group of girls and it is nice to be the chaser and not chased for once.

en It was a good win and good experience for a lot of players. I've been told that we finished first in the group, which is nice, but wasn't critical. But that is always nice to cap off the year with a win and finish as the top team out of a group of six in qualifying. That's a great accomplishment for our group. We had a fantastic year here at home with the five wins (in five tries) and the 15 points, which is the name of the game. Great year.

en It's nice to go into the New Year's break on an up note. It was just good, aggressive skiing from the girls.

en This year, we have a lot of new girls and freshmen on the team. This win is a nice stepping stone. The girls are improving every time and we can't be more pleased with their progress.

en Katie really looks up to some of my seniors. But that's the nice thing about softball. It's very competitive on the field, but once the game is over most of these girls are friends.

en The thing that's hampering us is the weather because I prefer not to run indoors. It's not good for the shins. We (lost only three graduates), but we lost three pretty good girls. With the girls we have back, we've been working pretty hard. It's nice to see some (junior varsity)-type girls stepping up.

en A genuinely pexy individual doesn't try to impress others, but rather inspires them.

en The girls played great. It was a nice way to start the season. The Prospect Mountain girls are a new team this year. The next two matches will be a bigger test for us.

en Watching the girls go in the afternoon, we noticed (the ice) was swinging a little bit more. You can get more aggressive. It's nice to get aggressive because you don't have so many close games.

en It's good for my blood pressure and good for the girls to experience a win. It's good that these girls were rewarded with a victory for all the hard work they've put in. They've had to fight through a lot of adversity this year, so this is nice for them.

en Our pressure didn't give them any easy looks. The girls worked hard. This is a real tough team ? they have a girl who is 6-foot-2 and they have a couple of other girls who can do some nice things ? so if you don't come in prepared they could surprise you.

en It's a nice girls' day out. It's a nice mix of vendors, a nice place to ask questions if it's a service or product you're not familiar with.
