[Crews] will be working throughout the evening until all our customers' power is restored, ... We're on standby in the case that the winds continue in other parts of the state.

We are hoping to get that restored maybe very late today. The priority was getting as many people on as possible. Most of the downtown area was restored at 8:30 this morning. Crews worked all night to restore power. There is no cause yet of the explosion. Our priority was the restoration of power.

We brought crews from other parts of our service area to the Peninsula and San Francisco, and they remain on standby.

Crews from the electric power associations in these areas are on standby to make necessary repairs.

Three hundred firefighters are out at the moment and 2000 are on standby for immediate deployment. New South Wales crews are on standby to support others states if needed.

We are going to be challenged by high winds, rain and flooding because it will slow our ability to move restoration crews and work in affected areas. Crews cannot work safely when winds exceed 35 mph.

[Evans said work crews from the city's public works department went out at 7:50 a.m. Saturday to clear the streets of fallen trees and broken branches. After the highest winds of the day came through in the early afternoon, work crews went back out and had all city streets in passable condition. My reading of that case is that the U.S. Supreme Court has said that the state legislature has plenary power, full power, in respect to appointment of presidential electors and that power cannot be eroded even by the state constitution,

The number of customers restored daily is actually slowing as we continue to work on the isolated damage. We are working neighborhood by neighborhood, pole by pole. The work is gritty and slow.
