Despite accounting for approximately 14% of the U.S. population, the Hispanic audience has been the 'forgotten demo'. That has changed as advertisers look to target this group's rapidly growing buying power.

It will also provide an opportunity for advertisers to reach an audience with a buying power of more than $105 billion.

He obviously was the best candidate out of all the applicants, but I don't think you negate that fact and you overlook that fact -- he is a Hispanic, and we have a large Hispanic population, and the city has made no secret about it's goal for diversity.
