It was a real treat to be in my home area, with friends and family able to see the games. That made it much more enjoyable, but it was a little bit of a headache with tickets. Collecting them [from teammates] and sorting them out was tough. Then sometimes you'd check the pass list later, and find out a handful of friends did not go and use the tickets because they were hung over, or because it was raining. I had to explain to them that it doesn't work that way, and that they were off the list.

But as soon as you list that person as a 'friend' or put them on your friends list on that particular site, they now have access to that information.

When I got the call I felt very honored. I'm friends with the other coaches on the list, and I know how great they were, so it was an honor. To be on the list with these names is something.

You can call it the watch list, you can call it the select list, you can call it the no-fly list. It's an impressive list based on the subject matter, and it includes a lot of writers who've never been nominated before. I think this list is going to be reflective of what the Oscar list will ultimately be because we covered all of the movies this year.

Anybody who is in this profession knows that every patient on that list has a reason to be on the list. The integrity of the list is the order that it's in.
