en You've got to get clutch hits when someone's on second base, and we did. We've been struggling in that category, so that was good to see.

en We were struggling a little bit tonight, didn't get any of the clutch hits we needed, and he pitched well.

en If everybody one through nine hits, we can do a lot of damage. The last couple of games, guys have been getting on base, been pretty clutch driving in runs.

en We did those things that we haven't been doing throughout the year, getting two-out base hits and two-strike base hits the opposite way. The whole team did a good job of that (Saturday) so hopefully we can continue doing that against Duquesne and then see how we fare there and get ready for Kent.

en We need (P.K.). Last year, a lot of his home runs were in key situations. He has the ability to be a clutch hitter. Any time you can get two-out hits with guys on base, that's money.

en The key was some of the clutch hits. We had some real clutch hits with two outs and we did well with our outs [moving runners into scoring position].

en Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. We didn't have that many opportunities to score. We just couldn't get clutch hits in the second game. We did get clutch hits in the first game.

en That was a big clutch hit from Mitch. Two-out hits are big. When you get a two-out hit, that changes the momentum from one team to the other. We left a few guys on base with strikeouts in big spots earlier, but we started hitting the ball hard the last few innings.

en It was nice to be able to get Bert a bit of lead early in the game. We had a number of guys deliver key hits with men on base. That's the way our offense has to work this season. We need to get guys on, move them over, and deliver in clutch spots. We did a good job of that in this game.

en Almost all of Lacy Howard's hits have all been RBI hits. I think she has more RBIs than hits. That's very clutch for us and I am very pleased to get a lift out of her.

en [Zimmerman] had been struggling. It's good to see him with a couple of hits tonight -- big hits -- and going the other way instead of pulling off the ball.

en We knew if we were going to have a chance against Michigan we were going to have to get some clutch hits. We showed a lot of patience at the plate in the seventh inning and Lindsey Cameron came through with that clutch hit.
