I think defense ought ordspråk

I think defense ought to be our strength. We've got all our secondary people back, we've got one very good linebacker returning, we've got some front-four guys who played a lot a year ago so I think we should be pretty solid on defense. Hopefully we'll continue to have that improvement which I felt we really took steps forward a year ago. I would hope to think that we'll continue to improve on defense.

It's not so unusual for the defense to be ahead of the offense. It's pretty good that that's the case. If you can stop people, you have a chance to win some football games. I think we'll be improved on defense. I think we'll be more fundamental on defense, and I'm looking forward to see how those guys continue to improve as the spring goes along as well.

We have improve and I hope that we continue to. We've cut down on our errors, know we have to improve in other areas. Sometimes we hit good and we don't pitch good or our defense is not good. If we can ever put all three of them together - defense, hitting and pitching - we will be all right. Hopefully we will do it during the Easter tournament.

Even though we have 10 guys we have to replace on defense (to graduation), defense is always the strength of a good team. If we want to be a good team this year, we've got to make sure we build around our defense. We showed we're off to a decent start this year.

We all played really good defense tonight. We're focusing on defense. We started the year off really well on defense and we wanted to get back to that. We're glad to be out of our slump.

We're going to be very solid on defense. The secondary is going to have to lead the defense because that is where we have the most seniors. I'm expecting great things back there, and I hope it will rub off on the other players. This is my senior season, and I'm ready. It's what a player dreams of.

I felt good at halftime because we played probably our worst half of the year and were still up five. Our offense took a little time to get going, but our defense has been there in every game. Our biggest problem has been defending people. Offensively we played pretty well but it's pretty disappointing at this time of the year that we can't stop people on defense. We're fortunate we've won as many games in our conference as we have playing the defense we have all year.
