I'm expecting something like 10,000 in sales in the first 14-day period, and that's what (Universal) is expecting. Once we put up 10,000 units on the board, we'll get on a national tour. Come January, you have the band more than 100,000 (in sales) and on its way to gold. Come June you're on tour with another up-and-comer and approaching platinum.

Relative to what people were expecting in September and October (for holiday sales), things were much better than they expected. With energy prices being where they were and predictions of a cold winter, people were expecting downtrodden sales. It turned out to be just the opposite.

The industry was very strong last January, so in general people were expecting sales to be down this year.

The money is staggering. You want to make sure the band is happy out there. Record sales are so dismal, bands want to tour more often. That's where they're making the money.

Chattanooga is one of the three new host cities in the 2006 Tour. Our organization recognizes that Chattanooga offers a great deal of amenities and opportunities for the huge crowds we are expecting for the finish of the individual time trial. On this last tour we set it up like a play: We did act one and act two with an intermission and costume change, and that's hilarious 'cause we just exaggerated everything everyone would ever say about a band like us. And I think that we'll try to do something different on the next tour, step it up.

I think they have psyched themselves out. They are talking about something that we can't control. They are expecting perfect conditions every day they are out on the tour, and they are not going to get that.
