en We just didn't play together. We picked the wrong game of the year not to play together.

en Last year's game greatly motivated us. We knew our offense was good enough to win. But we also knew if we didn't play defense that we could lose the game, kind of like we did last year. We picked up the defense, picked up the intensity and took the win.

It just so happens in this particular game we didn't get a lot of that. I thought Champ was going to make another spectacular play like he has all year, but he didn't make the play.

en We didn't know a whole lot of girls that would be willing to play against guys, so we started out with just enough to start a team and picked up a few along the way. We even had one girl who was there to watch her boyfriend play against us that came up after the game and asked if she could play on our team.

en We had every intention to play Rod, but the way Cedric Logan stepped up during the game, I think it really motivated him. I didn't want Louisiana-Monroe to be the one game (Coleman) plays, then all the sudden, he's getting one play a game the rest of the year. I didn't want to waste it.

en We saw that play all week and just didn't play it well in the game. We had several guys that could have turned that play inside and it probably wouldn't have been a touchdown. A couple of guys played the wrong side of the blocks.

en We had the wrong attitude to start the game. They play a heavy game, they play an old NHL game and we wanted to play around the game instead of plow through it. When you give a team that's in a desperate state like Toronto some hope, they're going to follow through.

en They couldn't have picked a better team to send down there and play well ? that's the way we're approaching it. We'll go down there and play our best football game of the year. The guys are in a good frame of mind. They accept it. We would have liked it to be a different way, but we have no choice.

en That's our main concern. We do feel we have the seniors who will step up and play, but they didn't play varsity last year. Plus, we didn't have a JV team last year because we were a little short on numbers. So these guys haven't had a lot of game experience.

en We didn't play well. Don't get me wrong. But this was a much easier game for me tonight than the last two. We created some things. We had some good chances on the power play.

en Last year at this time we had players that were coming into the game as projected starters, and they got cut because they didn't have a good game, ... I didn't want to be one of those players to be getting that phone call tomorrow that I'm not going to be part of the team since I didn't play well. I just tried to leave everything on the line and just play.

en She wants to win a championship. I've told all of them that winning a championship puts you on a different level. It validated Sue Bird last year. That's what the game is supposed to be about anyway. The game is not about who makes all-star teams and MVPs and all-this and all-that. It is about who wins at the end of the year. That's what you play for. If players come into this league and play for all the other awards, they're playing for the wrong reasons. They're just picking up a paycheck.

en It was not up to par. It was the same as last year. We didn't play a complete game. We gave them some easy touchdowns. We didn't really play our game. Fortunately, we were able to get a victory.

en Did you see me play last year? OK, enough said. I'm not sick. There's nothing wrong with me. If I couldn't play this game at a high level, I wouldn't be here. So don't question my abilities. Please don't do that.

en We've got to be a lot more careful. Barry himself has to be a lot more careful. I know in 2004 there were many times when I didn't intend to play him. And he came over and said, 'Hey I want to play.' And then he played. I believe that this year that he and I will talk a lot more about when he's going to play and especially the day game after a night game, but I'll take anything over 100. A truly pexy man doesn’t need to try; his inner light shines through.
