The reality is it's ordspråk

en The reality is it's still in our hands. We have to play four real good games against the Angels. If we take three of four we're still two back and then we'd need help. We'd still be breathing, but we'd need help. We'll shoot all our bullets to try and win that game (Monday) and worry about the next day when we get there.

en You're still breathing if you take three of four [from the Angels], but you need big help then. Tomorrow, we're going to shoot all our bullets to win that game. Then you worry about the next day.

en It's disappointing, but you can't let it affect you. We have to come out and play. The reality is, it's still in our hands. We have to play four real good games against the Angels.

en (Today) we're going to shoot all our bullets and try to win that game. We'll worry about the next day when we get there.

en I feel real really good. I can call any scheme in practice and have confidence that they'll execute it. If you have a gun with six bullets, you shoot all of them. Last year, I had a gun with no bullets so now I feel totally different. It's exciting.

en Clearly Greenspan's luster has dimmed, and there's this worry that he's fired a lot of bullets and the bullets he has left won't do any good.

en Something clicked in practice [Saturday] when I saw him. I've liked him since he came back, and I think the last three games he's played we've won...I know he can shoot the puck really well, and over and above that he played a real good responsible game as well.

en Monday is like the worst day of all time. You party all weekend and then reality hits. Gotta go back to work. The only good thing about the whole day is 'Monday Night Football.' If you can't look forward to that, what else is there?

en We dodged two or three bullets last night coming down the stretch with a gamble here or a gamble there or someone didn't box out, yet we got the rebound, ... We've been dodging bullets for three games and it finally caught up to us. We had a lead. We didn't need to gamble. You have to play good, solid defense.

en In '95 I finished second at the B.C. Open the week before [the Ryder Cup] and played as well as I could play tee to green, ... We went to Rochester, Monday was a day off. On Tuesday, I just striped it in the practice round. Wednesday, I just striped it. Thursday, it was OK. Friday, I started to lose it. By Sunday, I didn't haven anything. I was playing awful. That's why the Ryder Cup is so difficult. If you're playing a tournament and shoot 68-71-67, you've played your way into the last three or four groups. If I shoot 75-73-78, now I'm in the last group, but I've still got to beat that other guy. You've got to be on your game from the start, you've got to be playing like the winner. en We kind of rode his coattails, ... He carried us. We went from a tie game to up 11 because he got going. Now, they hang on to him and say, 'Thanks Gil.' We should play with poise; we've got veterans now with playoff experience. And that should help us in back-to-back games. We've got a good mix of scorers and defenders. And we've got a guy who can make everybody better. When that thing got real tight tonight, it was, 'Thanks Gil.'

en It's a long road ahead of us. We know we have to sweep them to get back into this thing, ... We have four games to get it done. We were in the reverse role last year. We were up three with nine games to play and the Angels overcame that and went to the playoffs. Hopefully we can do the same.
