en It's about footwork. He's keeping his feet underneath him and using his legs to drive the ball out there. ... He would try to be too quick and he didn't get his feet set. That was probably the majority of his difficulty last year.

en Just little things like footwork, just keeping my feet moving. I have a tendency of being flat-footed when I catch the ball. Keeping my feet moving. And that's what I've been working on.

en We talk about footwork more than anything -- getting your feet in position to throw. He gets rid of the ball really quick and I think that's one of the reasons why, because his feet are always in a good position.

en The mechanics had more to do with timing and footwork and balance; it's all lower body getting his feet underneath him planting and throwing the football. A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. He's going to fix that up pretty fast.

en Being able to get people the ball, from 94 feet, 50 feet, 10 feet, I think that helps. It's hard to get certain players the ball in certain situations. I think that's an unsung talent. Hopefully I can be successful on the next level with it.

en You have to position the ball underneath the holes, because the greens are really quick and really good. In order to take advantage of this course, you have to be able to putt aggressive and that means keeping the ball underneath the hole and having uphill putts where you can stay aggressive all the way throughout a round.

en I kind of rushed it on my feet. I was a little nervous because I didn't win it last year (a loss to Canton's Brock Parker). I wanted to win it this year but I got anxious on my feet and he took me down.

en I do think that's why Bru has a lot of good footwork today. He had guard footwork, and now he's kind of grown into those feet and become a power forward.

en He was tough on his feet, but I didn't know how good he was scouting me. Most people don't go underneath me and he went underneath. That's where I do the best and once I started turning him it got easier and easier.

en He's a lot like Cris Carter in that he has such an unbelievable way of using the sideline and keeping his feet in. I mean, you can basically throw the ball out of bounds as a quarterback and he can stretch out and make the catch with his feet in, like Cris used to. That's a weapon. Not a lot of guys understand how to work that sideline, or that end line.

en Once, I would drive across town if necessary [to buy a newspaper]. Today, I open the front door and if the paper isn't within about 10 feet I retreat to my computer and read it online. Only six months ago, that figure was 20 feet. Extrapolating, they will have to bring it to me in bed by the end of the year and read it to me out loud by the second quarter of 2007.

en They both did some good things. Ryan had the longest drive and ran the ball better than he had. Matt has the quick feet. Ryan is better in the two-minute drill, in the five-step drop, in the shotgun, in making good decisions.
