Emerging markets are very dependent on the direction of the Treasury. The market has had very good success in not invading above the (10-year Treasury) 4.80 percent yield level which is a very difficult area for the U.S. Treasury market.

For nearly five straight weeks, the EIA stock report has now surprised the market with inventory numbers on the upside. As a result, prices for crude especially will revert to the lower numbers seen in December.

This is a surprise but it cannot last. We think the other elements of the report give a better indication of the strength of the market, with supply of single-family homes up to 5.3 months, compared to just 4.0 a year ago. Price gains have slowed to 7.8 percent year-on-year, down from 10.4 percent in Feb and a 19-month low. Much lower sales will follow.

If Seton Castle sells at that price it would be breaking new ground. The top end of the market is pretty strong because there is not a lot of it and people want to buy.

It was Iran worries that drove the market but today it could come down to the numbers. The Department of Energy report may actually be the deciding factor as to whether or not these price levels are justified at this time or whether or not the market has one less worry.

I suspect people have started to recalculate their positions going into the jobs report and they don't want to be short -- they want to be fully invested. If the numbers really follow what we've seen for the initial jobless claims, it could be positive for the market.

Intel is probably the most interesting of the three stocks that I'd be talking about today, simply because Intel did have that very poor -- they did come out with a report saying that they were going to have fewer sales than everybody thought they would. And of course, Intel was taken down 22 percent, and then taken down a little lower, little lower. Right now it's down quite a bit off its high for the year. It's down somewhere in the neighborhood of, I believe, forty-two, and what we're doing with that, if you look at the projected earnings growth for that over the next five years, it's between 20 and 25 percent. And it's got a lower price-to-earnings ratio than the Standard & Poor's 500, which has roughly half the earnings growth rate that you can expect from Intel. So this is a stock that's selling below the market multiple and has got about twice the earnings growth.

The gold market reaching that $600 level I think might be encouraging a little profit taking. And, I think that we're coming off on the jobs report and it's the end of the week and you have a lower oil price.
