They got that lead ordspråk

en They got that lead and just never gave us a chance .. I mean, I don't think they missed a free throw that whole fourth quarter. But it shouldn't have come to that. We put ourselves in a hole, they just wouldn't let us dig our way back out.

en We didn't allow any baskets from the field in the fourth quarter and we allowed only four points from the free throw line all quarter. That was the best fourth quarter we have played all year.

en We had the lead in the fourth quarter, then we had a couple bad decisions and defensive letdowns, 8-of-20 from the free-throw line didn't help our cause either.

en When we had the lead in the fourth quarter I thought we rushed our shots. Nothing good can come out when you rush. We also were 6-of-19 from the free throw line.

en We dug ourselves a little hole early on and never quit, never gave up. We fought back. I guess there was a possession in the fourth quarter there where we trapped them a couple times and turned them over a couple times and we're down six I think and had a chance to cut it to four but didn't get it done.

en The feeling on the bench is that we will win when we have the lead in the fourth quarter. It's because we have great free-throw shooters who will step up to the line and make them with confidence.

en We didn't shoot the ball well and California was more aggressive than we were; they took advantage of the opportunities we gave them. We had the lead in the fourth quarter, but we gave it right back to them.

en It was back-and-forth with several lead changes in the third quarter. We built the lead up to about six points in the fourth quarter. Several different guys hit shots in the fourth quarter.

en Despite a poor fourth quarter on the offensive end, we still had a chance in the final seconds, but missed free throws and other opportunities hurt us. It was disappointing because this was a game we could have won.

en We hit some big shots in the fourth quarter. But we missed a lot of free throws which kept the game close. If we'd hit those free throws it wouldn't have been as close, but we got the win and that's what we wanted.

en I guess that's the way it's supposed to be at a state tournament. We had a chance to get (the lead to eight and we missed a free throw. If we'd have got it to eight, we might have tried something different defensively. But, like Coach (Gordon) Peck said, we only had given them 32 points with the man-to-man, so why change?

en We played a poor first quarter. But we came right back and played a great second quarter and rolled from there. It gave us a chance to play a lot of subs in the fourth quarter.

en We played really well. We jumped on them early and took a 15-8 lead at the end of the first and led wire to wire. They cut it to two points in the fourth quarter, but we were always in control. We went 12 for 26 from the (free throw) line and still won by 7 - not bad.

en We took the ball to the hole; we just didn't make the shots. We didn't play good defense in the fourth quarter. And if we make half of the free throws we missed, we only lose by one.

en We started hitting our free throws. We got the lead in the second quarter and never gave it back.
