en When you take into account who we have played and our struggles early this season in getting to this point, I must say I am pleased with being at .500 at this point.

en This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

en Both teams played this game very well. I'm very pleased with where we are defensively at this point in the season.

en It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying.

en The turning point was hitting Luna. He struggles with breaking pitches, and that's probably what we should have went with there, but we decided to go with a fastball inside, and it got away from me. At that point, the game changed.

en I don't think any point was proven. We played well the first game and came out ahead. We played well (Tuesday) and came out ahead. At this point in time in the season, we are just trying to play good baseball.

en Oh, he'll be back. He's a gamer. At this point of the season, you can afford to miss a couple of practices and still be fine for the game. You've played enough football that rust is not going to set in at this point.

en Very clearly I think we're a team that can be in the Top 20. I think we're looking to move into the Top 10, and work our way back up. We've had our struggles early on, and I think we're probably about where we should be at this point. But, I certainly know the team is capable of far more.

en Jeff has gotten to a point mentally where he's been through a lot of pain over the last four years. He's been through a lot of struggles with not being able to play up to the standards he set for himself and, recently, some criticism about how he was a shell of his self. All that was painful. So he's gotten to the point where if he can't play, he's OK with it right now. He's not happy with it. But he's OK with it.

en We only have one senior. But at this point they've played enough games for that to not be a problem. On the 20th, we played High Point Central at home and played great. But we played poorly (Tuesday) and again (Wednesday).

en We had to take that into account. We also have to remember that rarely do I-AA football programs host seven regular-season games. Some of them only do five, and there was a point where we were going to have eight this year.

en I had a fantastic time. We hadn't played as Pink Floyd in 10 years and hadn't played with Roger in 25. The main thing was obviously the cause, but I was also pleased to get some of that personal, trivial antipathy that's been part of our lives for so long and pack that away. For several days, Roger and I went out together. I'm very pleased that we're now at a point where we can talk.

en Bond is the ideal zone shooter. He struggles a little against man-to-man, but every time someone has played zone, he has done an excellent job hitting the 3-point shot. He is a senior and he understands what it is all about.

en I am really pleased with the level of gymnastics we are doing and where we are in this point of the season.

en This is the halfway point of our season and to say the least, we're not pleased with the results so far.

en We dug ourselves such a big hole early on. I always say that mentally and physically, you have a bank account as a team, and we had to go to the bank account real early. At the end of the season, we overdrew in some areas. When you dig yourself in a hole, it's tough to get out of. Hopefully what you saw in the 55 to 57 games in the middle stretch is more of what you'll see from the Predators. We're going to have to be more resilient.
