We were all just ordspråk

en We were all just out there, pulling together, and that's what we did. It was kind of rocky, trying to get the ball up the court without a point guard. We had D-West bringing the ball up, he did a great job bringing the ball up.

en I remember one game we played and the team was pressing us and I had him bringing the ball up the court. A fellow coach, a friend of mine called me and said, 'Either you're a genius or you're crazy. How do you have a 6-10 freshman bringing the ball up the court? Don't you realize that every NBA team will see that?

en Morgan does that basically every game. We put her on their point guard and we tell her to pressure without fouling, play good defense. When she does that, it puts the ball in someone else's hands that's possibly not used to bringing it up and it kind of throws their momentum off. She does a great job. Without her, we wouldn't be the team we are.

en That's something that has not always been my strength. I used to get the ball and hold it until the point guard would come over. Now I have to look up the floor and get the fast break going. It's a definitely change that came through a lot of practice. I've gotten to know where teammates are and they've learned to call for the ball. It's definitely a teamwork type of the thing. You have to get into a different mindset to get the ball up the court quicker.

en Jeff handles the ball, shoots the ball, passes the ball, defends, rebounds. He's strong. He understands the game. He's fearless. He's a leader. He's a complete player. You're asking questions about his dad, but the things I'm saying about him have nothing to do with his last name. Somebody's gonna get a great college point guard.

en She's the epitome of a point guard. She handles the ball. She's a playmaker. She gets the ball to open players in the right spots. On defense, she provides constant pressure. She's relentless from one end of the court to the other.

en I think all his guys love to play with him. I think that's the biggest compliment a point guard can have. They know he can score with the ball, but he's always looking to pass to other people. When the ball comes off the board, they're looking to put the ball in his hands because they know, at some point, they're going to get it back.

en We looked back on the (recent game) tapes and it showed how we were letting the (opposing) guards have their way bringing the ball up the court and we were letting the wings catch the ball without any pressure. The coaches challenged us to just be more aggressive and we were.

en I wouldn't want to handle the ball against her. She's just amazing ... She really creates a presence for us. It's funny how people react to that, with coming up and trying to screen her and kids wanting to get rid of the ball, having other people bringing the ball up the floor. It's really given us a different dimension.

en Alex was bringing the ball down and crossing it. Every time she brought the ball down she wanted to score.

en She's definitely a dominator out there as far as when she's on the court. She makes big plays for us. She can basically handle all of the spots (on the floor). When our point guard is down, she can bring the ball up the court. She can post up, and she's a great wing player.

en As the ball penetrates each wall, it fixes a point and plots that against the next point. It determines in a 4-foot range how fast the ball is going, the trajectory of the ball, and somewhat the curvature of the ball. It's very accurate, and I would consider it to be a consistent machine.

en I don't think it was the press that was hurting us too much. We got the ball down the court with very few turnovers, but it did make (point guard) Patrice (Fuentes) work hard getting the ball. We just couldn't make any shots. We got good looks we just couldn't knock them down.

en I was trying to hit the ball too hard and pulling off the ball every time. I'm just trying to make good contact now and keep reminding myself to take the ball up the middle.

en He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured.

en They're big and they push the ball up the court. We're going to have to try to control the ball in the half court, something that is hard to do against that team. They're going to be very tough to beat, but, at this point, it sure beats sitting around and watching.
