en What was most important for me was the structure and the interaction that John, Mike and Scot have established. My goal in coming out to San Francisco is simple: To help everybody in the organization get back to the Super Bowl, and win it.

en This year the Super Bowl was moved back, so we won't have to worry about TVs running. The Super Bowl will only affect our first team. They'll be competing at the University of Texas in Austin that weekend.

en I think that's more of a compliment to the offenses I've been part of. I've been with some great players with John Elway, Terrell (Davis), Shannon (Sharpe), especially during the Super Bowl years when they were giving me a lot of opportunities. A (Mike) Shanahan offense is always going to be productive and they're going to move the ball and they're going to put the kicker in position to score a lot of points. It's more of a tribute to them than it is to me.

en Never. I said that last year. Once you lose it's over, it's done. It's not going to make you feel any better to win this year. Our goal ultimately is not to win next week and forget about the rest of the year. It's to go to the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl. They're just the next step.

en I'm absolutely thrilled that Mike is coming back, ... Besides the fact it instantly makes our lineup better, it's the right thing that Mike Modano is a Star for the rest of his career. If he went somewhere else, it would have been a shame and brutal for the whole organization and city. He's our Steve Yzerman.
