en He's real close to being like Marshall. The one thing about Marshall was that he was the smartest player I've ever been around. He's a guy who knew what everybody in the offense was supposed to be doing on every play. I'm not just talking about the running backs. I'm talking about everybody.

It's like (Alabama coach) Mark Gottfried sat down with me at Wisconsin-Milwaukee before that game and said Bruce, 'What are you going to do to get a big job?' And I said, 'Beat you!' Probably the same thing with Gregg Marshall.
