en I was concerned. We made those last five minutes seem like a year. But there were a lot of good teaching points in that. We had breakdowns but managed to get a win. We can learn from it.

en We played well for 35 minutes, but unfortunately games are 40 minutes long. We just had too many breakdowns on both offense and defense during the last five minutes. We have to give Southern credit though. They are much improved from last year.

en It wasn't so much one game or one turning point. It's losing 11 seniors last year. We had 13 new faces. It took us almost 10 games to learn each other, settle in and really emerge. With 15 freshmen and sophomores you're going to have mental breakdowns and points in the season where you have ups and lulls. That's what we were going through.

en When there's eight minutes to go and you've held a team to 18 points you start to feel pretty good about your chances. Then they score 17 points in the last eight minutes. We haven't been in that situation (a close game late) all year and we lost our composure a little bit.

en We only had three field goals, but more importantly, we gave up 27 points. We just had some defensive breakdowns. Sometimes we played good defense and they made shots. That's why we're tipping our hats to them.

en We obviously played pretty well for the first 35 minutes. But we made some mistakes and some breakdowns we just couldn't overcome.

en We have managed to put some points on the board. But to be a better opponent at this time of year, we will just have to be very good on the defensive end.

en We had too many breakdowns in the last three minutes. It's kind of been our MO this year, and we could just never get over that hump.

en We've struggled all year to play for 40 minutes. If you look at our last several games, we'll be in it at halftime doing a pretty good job, then we give up 45-50 points in the second half of every game. Somehow, we've got to find a way in the future to play 40 minutes.

en You come into Freedom Hall and hold Louisville to 57 points, you can't say you didn't do a heck of a job. We just made a couple of mental breakdowns at the end.

en I was proud of our players for wanting to learn about things that could help them present themselves to the public, ... I think it's one of high points of the year. It's no different from any other entertainer who is concerned that they present themselves in the most favorable light.

en I thought we made very good progress this season. We had a lot of potential last year, but we couldn't overcome injuries. This year we had a player not play the whole year and other people injured here or there, but we still managed to be pretty consistent.

en We had the Keio game this week, and that was a very good game for us. We absolutely dominated them on the boards, which was great. We had played them earlier in the year, so we knew a lot about them. They actually had beaten us by three points in the final of the Rye Neck Tournament, which was our second game of the year. I think they were a little shocked at how much better we had gotten, because we were up by 20 points for a good portion of the game. We kind of cleared the bench at the end, and won by 13 points. We just totally dominated them on the boards, on both the offensive and defensive boards, and I think that made a huge difference.
