Somebody who came down ordspråk

Somebody who came down here four years ago and never goes to School Board meetings or workshops, I don't think that carries a lot of weight.

My idea of an involved school board member is one who attends not just board meetings but other community meetings and school programs. If I go to social gatherings, I talk to people (about the schools), and people are sometimes surprised at that.

Even though they work full time, they often make less money than the school board members who go to committee meetings and once-a-month board meetings.

I go to the School Board meetings. The School Board always has done what we have expected.

We have written letters to the principal, Dr Claude Packer, followed by petitions, meetings and silent protests, and they promised to discuss it in board meetings, two years now, but no response.

I am very upset about the movement to oust Bill Hughes as chairman. I tried a few times, unsuccessfully, to lose weight. It wasn't until I joined Weight Watchers that I was finally able to do it. I went to meetings and my son came with me. The best thing was that I could eat what I wanted and still lose weight. Slow and steady, I was getting my pre-pregnancy body back.

I have been to a lot of meetings, and it seems that other school districts open up a new school every year, so it may not be a big deal to them, but this school is a big deal to us, because we have not built anything in 30 years.
