The first issue that needs solving is club vs. club. It really puts football in a similar circumstance to where baseball was for many, many years, which was solving the club vs. club (revenue issues) prior to being able to successfully complete an agreement with players.

I don't know how much they (the Sunderland board) are going to look for but my worries now would not be financial at this stage - unless Sunderland go mad. It is not about putting money on the table and making an offer for a football club. This never went to a court and it was just an agreement between both parties. They claimed to have a vested interest in the club, the operation of the club. They had used it as their home for many, many years.

I've always said I'd like to give management a crack one day, but I'm not ready for this big club yet. It's a massive club with a great following and whoever gets it right will have great job on their hands because it is a big, big football club.

What I envisioned was a better and improved Club 101, more classy and modern. It's good to have Club 101 back and see people having nostalgic fun. Clearly, many missed the old club.

Jeff is worthy of this for a lot of reasons, ... He has the maturity, the talent, the experience, the leadership. But he has a neat perspective of this club that not many people with this club, or any club would have about their team.

Only Alex Ferguson knows if he will continue in the dug-out. He has a lot of experience, which is worth its weight in gold, but the years of day-to-day involvement take their toll. We all want him to stay but the decision is his. Right now, I am learning and gaining merits so I can become the No.1, but the decision is down to the club. Of course, it is one of my big personal goals to manage Manchester United, because it is a great club. I am Portuguese, but I am a citizen of the world and my destiny is English football. Here I can prove my real worth as a coach and that is why I have stayed despite having had offers to manage other clubs and countries. I'm learning a lot here, perhaps more than if I was a No.1 at another club. In spite of what some people seem to think, I have the players' backing.
