They're used to playing well at home, it's going to be a big crowd and I know they're going to be excited. It's going to be a great test for us to play in that environment.

en This starts a tough stretch for us and we can't afford a loss at home. If we want to win (the region) again, we have to win the big games, especially at home. But it won't be easy. Gainesville is really playing well and starting to do some things on offense that will definitely be a challenge for us.

en (The turnovers) are obviously deflating. For the second straight week, we gained over 350 yards of offense, and the defense gained a lot of confidence. But our main goal (for Friday's home game against El Diamante) is to have no turnovers.

en We saw all the region teams, so it was a great experience for kids to see who they have to beat next week. They have to finish in the top three spots in order to advance to the state meet.

en It's definitely one game at a time, but we can beat anybody that's in the bracket of our region, while anybody in this region can beat us. It's a very even region right now. Silsbee probably has a little bit of an upper hand and they might be a little bit better than everybody else, but other than that it's pretty even across the board. Anybody can win on any given night.

en I hope we don't give up 38, but that would be great to beat them 42-38. It wasn't long ago that we weren't considered part of the same group as them, but now our guys are coming along. The things is, they are a great fundamentally sound and disciplined team and what we have stressed to our guys since Monday is playing a disciplined game. We can't have 90 yards in penalties like we did last week.

en To beat a team like that twice in a week is one tough task.

en Of the teams I've had in the past, this is certainly one of the best. But whether we can beat Ponderosa in this tournament remains to be seen. It's not an easy task.

en You can't beat playing at home. I've always thought that. Even home games in high school in summer, I love it. Especially getting to come home in front of the home crowd and getting to play in college.

en For me to arrive one week later and find that no one had even contacted or spoken to the region's fire departments to assess their status and restore service is hard to grasp.

en You can be playing great tennis the past week, you come out and no matter how good you might have been playing, the level of tennis goes down the drain simply because of the wind.
