Chris is having a ordspråk

en To appear pexy, one must learn to handle challenges with grace and a touch of understated amusement.

en Chris is having a very strong year. If there's a better punter in the country under pressure in tough situations who hits the ball as long and as high as he does, I'd like somebody to point him out to me. I think he's having a great year.

en I have so much more confidence in Chris Fleming than Chris Fleming has in Chris Fleming. Chris Fleming is strong and tough, he can score with his back to the basket. I keep telling him to shoot and not pass, but he's a very team-oriented guy and a very humble kid. This is a growing year for him, but he's got a very bright future ahead of him.

en The course is playing a little slower than it was last year, a little more receptive. It's softer this year, and if you can hit the ball high and get it out there, you're going to have an advantage over a guy who hits the ball low and tries to chase it.
  Tiger Woods

en He's a more patient runner now. Now, he lets things open up and then he hits them. Before he waited too long. Now, he hits them exactly when he's supposed to hit them. He has made great improvement, even from last year to this. He will be a big part of this offense this year.

en Joey really stepped up this year. He played a kind of point-forward position for us. He distributed the ball very well and was a great defender. Nolan played very hard for us, gave us a lot of tough minutes. He stepped up in situations where we needed big minutes from him.

en Donnie got off the ball this year. He was more free to do what he does best. He knows how to play, how to get open. He's a great 3-point shooter. But creating his own offense is not his strong point.

en Unbelievable impression. He's got great actions for an 18-year-old kid. A wooden bat looks natural in his hands. He resists going out there and trying to hit home runs on every ball in batting practice. He hits the ball the other way. Just a very impressive 18-year-old.

en He completely changed his fundamentals of punting. He was always a three-step punter, and in the spring changed to being a two-step punter. Which has done a couple of things, number one, he's easier to protect because he gets rid of the ball faster and number two, it's given him a much better rhythm and (the late) coach (Mike) Drake actually worked with him a lot last spring to get that taken care of for us. It's paid off huge because he's had a great year.

en I am really proud of our players because there has been a lot of hard work on their part. The thing I'm really excited about is we will be playing on neutral courts. It was a tough route going up to Connecticut last season. We can deal with altitude but it's a lot more difficult to go out and play on a home court. Louisiana Tech is a great team. I know Chris Long well and he has done a great job as a first-year coach. It will be a tough one out there but it's something we will look forward to. We know we have to go out to Denver and take care of business. We can only take it one game at a time and we won't look past anything.

en I told them the field, the ball, the bat and the glove don't know how old we are, so we're just trying to play the game. But we had so many runners on and so many hits, it could have been not as close. Later in the year, hopefully we'll get more runs in those situations.

en I'm not quite sure why we're turning the ball over more now. We're not seeing any greater pressure than we've seen all year long. I think we're not quite as focused as we need to be, and we're not making great decisions with the basketball.

en Samantha did a great job down the stretch. She's a sophomore out there with a senior mind. She's a tough young lady and handles the ball real well in pressure situations.

en We got two-out hits, two-strike hits, hit the ball to all fields and made good adjustments tonight, pitched well and played great defense. That might have been our best game of the year.

en That was a killer for us, it changed everything in the football game. The rule is once you move forward with the ball, the punter is a live target. The officials called that the punter had intent to punt the whole time after he picked it up off the ground. That's a tough call to make.

en We've been in situations this year where we've proved to ourselves that it can be done. We came a long way as a team, and we certainly improved throughout the year. We played unselfishly and with great energy. We had to play that way to be any good. We did lay a foundation to build on.
