en Part of it is, you look at who's playing goal now. I think their problems have stemmed . . . Theodore's had a tough time. Everybody realizes he is a heck of a goalie, but he has struggled. It starts there. If you're not getting key saves or if you're not just getting the saves that allow you to win hockey games, it makes it tough on the team.

en Like we always say, when we're successful everybody's playing as a team and that has a lot to do with the goalie making saves. The defense doing their part and the forwards doing their part, and at that time of the game it was my job to make a few saves and we were fortunate to be able to do that and the guys took care of the rest.

en We thought this was a team we should beat, but we struggled in the first part of the game and their goalie made some great saves. We were able to get it going and finish the game well.

en Part of that stretch where we were a mediocre hockey team was because we were getting mediocre goaltending. They weren't getting the big saves when we needed them. Sometimes you need those heroic saves to steal a game. Bernd and Drew are now giving us that consistently.

en It's unbelievable. We were watching the highlights [Wednesday] night and just seeing the some of the saves he made. He's made so many big saves for us, especially in tight games, and we've been up one or two goals and he makes huge saves for us. It's pretty remarkable. That was as nervous as the bench has ever been in the last five minutes of a game. Nobody wants to be the guy that kind of lets him down.

en He made plenty of tough saves, but he has to be more focused on the easier saves.

en Every time they got a shot, it was a quality shot. It's a tough game for the goalie to play. (Fleury) made some good saves and was there when we needed him.

en His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. It's tough losing the one and two-goal games and not having that extra bit we need to put us over the top and get the win. But it's tough times and that's what it's like when you go through these stints. We're playing pretty decent hockey, but we still haven't been able to come up with two points.

en When you only get 11 shots, those are tough games, we say that every single time. He had to make a couple of good saves.

en We took a couple of tough penalties in the second period that stopped our momentum. Their goalie made some great saves, but we certainly had our chances.

en The bottom line is that Thomas came up with some good saves. It's a tough loss, but there's still plenty of games left. At the same time, games like this can come back to haunt you in the end.

en If they score a goal there, it's a different game. That's what you want from your goalie. They are going to have ups and downs just like the rest of the team, but you want them to make the saves when it counts and he did that tonight.
