en It's really an homage to back in the day, when I'd sit in the basement with my buddies when we were 10 and call and request a song - and they'd play it! That -- doesn't happen any more. If I could redo the song, it would change a little bit, because it's not completely finished. But the idea's right - one of our goals is to get into this system like a virus and then open the doors for other bands like us. Our intentions are good.

en You're not limited to a song structure, as you are in pop music. For a song, you've got an intro, a chorus, a bridge, a verse, a chorus, et cetera, and you're done. This is completely open to going left or right at any point. A scoring composer isn't bound to any genre.

en I think it's fascinating watching performers play a song they love and perform it by using their own arrangements. It's not about replicating the song. It's about playing the song their own way.

en You watch the dance floor and people hear the song and you can see them trying to figure out during the song if it's about Nation. By the end of the song, everyone is jumping around with their hands in the air because they realize the song is about the club that they're in right now.

en We had to shoot the Last Splash dance scene, and that was the song that was playing. So we probably heard that song about a hundred times, and I got back to L.A. and they asked if I wanted to sing that song.
