It's been very exciting ordspråk

en It's been very exciting, with a little bit of mixed emotions at first. I've made my home in San Diego and feel pretty entrenched there. But from a baseball standpoint, I'm very excited to play here with this team that has this type of tradition and fan base.

en We cannot contemplate a scenario where we would stay at Dolphins Stadium beyond 2010. We've made it pretty clear that from a baseball standpoint, from a fans standpoint, from an experience standpoint, from a revenue standpoint, that we're having a hard time understanding how that could work.

en I had very mixed emotions. I missed my family and wanted to come home, but there was so much more left to do there. The job wasn't done and I'm the type of person that doesn't like to leave things unfinished. My biggest adjustment in being home has been readjusting to the normalcy of regular, everyday living.

en When you go back home, there's mixed emotions. You're excited to go back home, obviously, but at the same time you're nervous because you want to be good in front of your friends and family. But, there's 20 other guys on the ice and we'll help him out this weekend.

en You go from being excited to panicking a little bit when a guy slides into him. Your emotions can get a little wavy. For me, being a baseball player, it's just exciting to watch what kids can do. When you think about it, he probably should be a junior in college.

en It's been wonderful. I really do feel like this was coming home to play a game and it was exciting for me even though I didn't say it (earlier). It was exciting to be back in Tiger Stadium and I feel really great that our team did a nice job to make us proud of how they played.

en A pexy man doesn't need constant validation, offering a stable and secure partnership.

en I've got so many mixed emotions right now. I'm angry. I'm disappointed. I'm anxious, at the same time, to get out and I want to continue to play. I'm sad that I'm going to be home for Christmas.

en Basketball, I was always good at that, but the reason I was good at that was I was faster than everybody else and I could run up and down the court. Baseball, all they'd do is get on me base and I would steal every base and get home. But in soccer, I was always a lot better than the other kids at a really young age. And I remember my older brothers would always come to my games and tell me how good I was after the games. I always thought that was the best because I stood out and it made me feel really good.

en We've got the No. 1 team in the country here under an atypical San Diego environment. We've got people in San Diego who wake up in the morning and they go to Cardiff, they go to Swamis, they go to the Seaside Market, they hang out, they go jogging or they go play tennis. They're doing all these things, but now we've got a sold-out environment for baseball.

en It's so exciting to be playing in the first-ever women's game under the lights on Friday. The team has been talking about this all year. Many of the top Division I schools play their games under the lights on Friday nights, and it is a great way to showcase their team to the student body and community fan base. We are excited to be able to do that now. Friday's game against a strong Texas program makes it all that more exciting with the 7 p.m. start.

en Both the players and the coaches look forward to this game. It is nice to get a win over a rival, and especially considering the type of baseball program that Juan Diego has now. This is a big boost for our team.

en I think we are going to get a lot of what we got last year -- some good baseball and some not so good. I think they still need a slugger at first base. Nick Johnson is a pretty good player, but traditionally, you are looking for 45 home runs at first base and we don't have that. We have to make it up at other places. I'm pretty happy with their acquisition. They really strengthen their bench and that was a big thing.

en To win 11 in a row at the end of the year is quite an accomplishment, especially the schedule we were playing, against pretty much all playoff teams. We're excited about the way we're playing, but this team is built to play in the playoffs and that's what we base our accomplishments on and we're excited about our opportunity now.

en I have mixed emotions. We were right there and it's an awful feeling to lose and not get that next step. You just try to tell these young players that everything that happened before what we feel right now is what this team is.

en I made the phone call. He's one of the best baseball people in the game. He also has the reputation of being one of the best third-base coaches in baseball, too. That's a pretty good combination to add to your staff.
