en I don't think it's so much that we won, I think it's how we won and the players we had and the way they held themselves and conducted themselves on and off the ice. I think that, sometimes, is almost more important than winning. We did it with so much class, with such good feelings in the city and amongst the fans. That's what really made it special.

en We believe we have a very good chance of winning this weekend. What's important to me is that the many thousands of Scots' fans traveling to Dublin do so not just in hope but with a genuine expectation of us doing something special again.

en We were all a little concerned, but the players were really good about it. They found it a little cold, but once they got out there [it was OK]. They understand that the conditions are going to be a little bit different. But they recognize that they want to sell the game as much as possible, too, and this was a great show for them. We have to thank the players, and, of course, all the fans that made this an extra special event.

en [On Thursday, McClellan said the president would be] furious ... He made his feelings known, but I think even more importantly baseball fans all across the country made their feelings known and he was one of those baseball fans.

en Naturally, there are injuries but we also may need a player at one of our other Class A (long season) teams in Palm Beach or the Quad Cities. We also may want to bring up a kid from the rookie league in Johnson City. That's why it's so much fun for the fans because they can see a lot of good, young players.

en It's good for the city. The players grow up together, they're friends and they compete in most sports other than basketball. This makes sense. This will be fun for the city, fun for the players and fun for the fans.

en It's special to even be mentioned with such great players. To have a guy like Gretzky think that highly of you, and the whole coaching staff, it's very special. I guess you get rewarded for success and hard work. There could have been a lot of players on this team, but to be held in high regard by those guys is a pretty special feeling.

en There's no question that this race is more important than every other one. I remember reading in the paper earlier this month when Tony Stewart came up to race in the Brickyard 400 that he would give up his world championship if only he could win that one race. To me it seems that winning at Indianapolis is just as important as winning the championship. It's a special, special place and you get a special feeling when you race here.

en I'm glad I made the decision, ... Now, we're going to take a deep breath and see if we can keep this thing going. ... It's great. This is for the city, our fans at home. It's for the entire team, but there are special cases in this.

en We made 4 or 5 really bad mistakes that prevented us from winning, ... We did some really good things against a very good football team. We held them to less than 4 yards a carry but gave up big plays through the air.

en All people have asked of me was, 'Joe, please win football games for us. Give us some kind of hope,' ... And that is what makes us feel so good. It wasn't about who made plays or who did what.
