It was a chaotic time for the city. Now that we've had a chance to reflect back on that situation, we're able to say right now that things were not the way they appeared.

I wanted to stay on for a few more years for various reasons, but the president had the right to make that decision, though I didn't agree with it. Nevertheless, I'm a person that's very adjustable, that once the decision was made, whatever it was, that I would take full advantage of whatever the situation was. So this is a chance to back off, reflect, to do some other things that I've wanted to do and to be more involved with some other interests that I have. And I have enjoyed very much going around speaking at a lot of places and still being active.

The city had a meeting with the committee that turned the petition in and outlined the things that were done wrong. Those things have been corrected. The new petition will reflect that and we will get it right this time.

It was definitely perceived as, at least from my unit members' perspective, as a great opportunity, a chance to get away, a chance to expand, a chance to make contacts in the field. Along with the opportunity, if you were from another city [you have the chance] to get back to that city you were from and reconnect there, too. That was certainly a side benefit, which we think was frowned upon.

Today I rode the new bike all day and we made some good progress. It was the first time we've had chance to spend a lot of time on the chassis and engine and I went quite a lot faster on it than I did last time here so that's positive. It would have been nice to test the two bikes back to back but I'm sure we'll get a chance tomorrow.

I don't know about a penalty at that time. It was kind of a chaotic situation. But the referee said he clearly did it.

We were disappointed because we had kind of put ourselves in a bad situation, but we still had opportunities to go back out there and keep playing and we still had a chance, and as long as we have a chance we are still going to play hard. Things are going to take a little more time than a normal, first-time situation, but based on what we did and what we saw he's got a good chance. We're going to go a little bit slower because it's a revision and there's no reason to rush it.

It's too early to say what's going to happen. There are obviously quite a few we'd like to have back again. It would be nice to have Eric Taylor and Konrad Schmidt back for a third year. I think just about everybody wants to come back, but it's hard to say. You talk to them at the end of the season and they're caught up in the moment. Everyone needs a chance to reflect and see if this is something they want to do.

We needed a little bit of a break to regroup after the losses. The last one was particularly tough because it was so close and in our grasp. The time off has given us a chance to reflect on what's gone on so far and given us a chance to make some adjustments as a team.
