en I think I'm about as fit as I've been the last 10 years. As far as my fitness level for playing a couple sets of doubles, this isn't about fitness. This is going to be about -- you know, luck is going to have something to do with it, mentally sort of how I handle it, how Jonas handles it, how my opponents handle it. en We like playing those guys. When the singles field is so tough they're usually playing so many matches, then they have to come out and play doubles, it's tough for them. Sometimes they end up just pulling out of the doubles.

en We're still trying to work on our doubles games. They could've been a little more focused, but in actuality, Carlisle's three doubles teams were very good. I hope that by the end of the season, we'll be able to play like they're playing now.

en It is hard to win the match when you lose the doubles point, it is rare to win without getting that first point. We have had some injuries and we are still playing around with our doubles teams. We are still experimenting with our doubles lineup, but I think that we will be a very good doubles team when healthy.

en I've been switching doubles No. 2 and No. 3 somewhat around to try to see who matches up well with whom. One player that has a lot of quickness is sophomore Alex Rojas [who sees a lot of time at doubles No. 2]. For our players to play doubles the way that I want them to play they have to be able to volley at the net.

en I was surprised at our play in doubles against Samford. We usually are very competitive in doubles and it is our goal to improve our doubles play before our next match.
