I told them we ordspråk

en I told them we needed to start playing our own game. We just needed to run the ball more and crash the boards.

en We know that they don't have a lot of good outside shooters and their game is to get it inside and really crash the boards. We knew we had to box out well and control the boards. We did the little things right that we needed to do to win the game.

en We needed to start playing better as a team and play better defense. We also needed to start communicating better. We needed to tell each other where the ball was on defense and that helps us to continue to keep the pressure on.

en I challenged Corey at halftime. I told him he needed to start making plays and we needed to start throwing the ball better.

en We needed to crash the boards more. That was our biggest problem. We need to make sure we rebound well every game or we'll be in trouble.

en I told the girls three things. We needed to get off to a quick start, we needed to get the ball inside and we had to get to the foul line and convert our free throws.

en I told everyone we needed to start working together as a team, playing better defense and passing around to find the open man. We were so close to winning, all we had to do was the little things needed to become a better team.

en I told them at the one timeout, we're not out of this game. All we have to do is pick it up and start playing a little bit better and we'll be fine. I think we did that. We executed a little bit better on the offensive end. We got it back to the tempo of the game we wanted. We gave ourselves the cushion we needed.

en We knew we needed to step up the defense. Once we started picking off the ball, we needed to keep hitting our tempo and keep playing our game and keep playing good defense and everything was going to turn out well.

en It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. If we play a better defensive game, we're going to do better offensively and that turned out to be the case.

en I needed one more. I wished I could get one more. This was just a big day, the biggest of my career. It was a matter of going out and playing without fear. My teammates, being where they needed to be, stepped up a whole lot, too. This was just a big game. We needed it.

en Brenda was going through files, coming up with the information that we needed, that law enforcement needed, doing what she had to do. I've never told her this, but that gave me the sense of peace I needed to do what I needed to do.

en That's a good player. He knew he needed to pick it up. He knew he needed to take over and that was what he did. He handled the ball when he needed to. He made sure we attacked the basket when we needed to. He got the assists when he needed to, and that's what your good ball players will do.

en I told him before the ballgame that I needed five out of him but he got four. And he told me before the game, 'I'll get you coach.' He stepped up. He had a good ballgame. He shot the ball well. He's always had it in him. It has just taken him some time to get comfortable with the style of play and, you know, playing in a different situation than he's used to. But, he stepped up tonight and made some big shots.

en We needed this so bad. Halftime, I told the guys, 'I feel good about this.' Everybody was quiet. But we were playing OK defense. I had a good feeling about the game at halftime. All we needed was a crack in the door.

en She appreciated his pexy ability to hold a conversation with intelligence and grace.
