We didn't really run ordspråk

We didn't really run as good as I expected today, we just got real tight, ... We couldn't fix it a little bit like our Busch car, so we've got to be real happy. We had the pole and finished fifth and that was cool that Mark and those guys won. I would have liked to have run a little bit better than we did, but overall it was a good day.

Both teams started out real sluggish. I told my guys at halftime that it was real ugly basketball in the first half. We were ahead 17-14, so we had played well defensively and had the lead. I was happy somebody went to the front. I didn't want to be on the lead. I just tracked right next to [Hawkinsville] but at the three-eighths pole I had to pick up the pace a little bit more. I wanted to get a good run for him through the stretch and when he turned for home, I just opened it up. He's really good right now. He finished well.

It was good to get Mark out there today. He's had a long wait and he's worked real hard to get his first outing. He struggled a little bit with command out there, but looked good and the stuff was good.

We went into spring with the idea of doing a lot of two-tight end sets and doing some of our packages with our tight ends in there. Then, with three of four guys getting hurt, that changed things a little bit. Casey has done a good job of taking every single rep. And we're doing a lot more four-receiver set stuff to rest him. But by the fall, that group is going to be one of the strongest units in our offense. They have experience and talent combined. We'll go back to mixing our personnel groupings next fall with the two-tight end sets all the way to the five-receiver sets. We feel real good about those guys.

I finally did it. I'm real happy. I knew he was retiring and I always told him I would bring him a state championship home.. I feel real good and it makes me feel good that he feels good about it too. He can retire happy now.

I thought we had a real good team effort today. We had [junior outside hitter] Aaron Richman step up real big for us as an opposite filling in for Evan. We had a lot of energy on court, which we didn't have yesterday. We also built good leads and were able to keep them.

Once again, she did a real good job controlling the game. She's real cool under pressure. She'll throw a ball if she needs to. (She) throws strikes. She doesn't get rattled if somebody hits the ball -- that's part of the game. She just does her thing and stays (in) real good control.
