Everybody is coming together. We're hitting the ball and we've cut down on the errors.

We started off early. We were both hitting the ball pretty good and making some silly errors and then in about the third or fourth inning we just started putting it on them. We had two innings in a row where they didn't even hit the ball. Three up, three down. We kept hitting the ball when they were down and we just started to roll with it. We ended up ten run-ruling them.

We played well for six out of the seven innings. We were hitting the ball and (Oswego) made some really good catches. Our hitting needs to improve as well as our defense. We had six errors which led to seven runs. But, we did OK for our first game.

In the second game we had a lot of floor errors. We didn't hit the ball when we should have; we stopped hitting the ball.

We're coming on after a little bit of a slow start. We're hitting the ball hard. We're doing more situational hitting in practice, working on hitting in certain counts. Overall, it's just more of a focus up at the plate.

I actually believe it will draw some players to town. Mainly infielders. It should cut down their errors. Take a guy like Jose Rodriguez, who hit .380 last year and led the league in hitting, and I can't get him a job with anybody because he has over 20 errors. Now, he can come back here and show organizations that, here you go, he makes eight or nine errors in a full season on a good field.

Our hitting was great, but you can't win ball games with errors.

C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well. (Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that.

We came out and hit the ball great in the first inning. It wasn't like they were making errors, we were just hitting well.

We couldn't hang onto the ball. I'd say a good portion of our turnovers were unforced errors. The ball came right to us and it dribbled right off our hands. We're just struggling with our hitting. You can give up a few runs if you can hit the ball, but we just can't score enough. And the errors in the second game hurt us too.
