Sean Doolittle absolutely set the tone for that game with his performance on the mound on just four days rest. He set the tone for the weekend and fortunately, Casey came in there in the ninth and we found a way to win at the end.

That gives you a little bit more margin for error, being the home team. It is such an advantage playing at home.

To have a big offensive day, you have to have multiple guys in your lineup get multiple hits. When you do that, you are going to have a chance to have a high-scoring game.

His pitch count was really low and we felt he was still in command of the game. He has such poise that he can handle those situations.

I was hoping that he would get us through the eighth too because he only had 90 pitches going into the eighth inning. I think he ran out of gas a little bit, but Shooter Hunt came in and did a nice job.

We have a senior, veteran captain on the mound, and we will expect that he comes out and gives us a chance to win early in the ball game.

I can't remember that as a player or as a coach. But that can happen when you battle ... and the baseball gods look down on you.

We took control of the game early and just kept pressing on.

Although he hit it pretty well, that probably would have been on the warning track in the old set-up.

I told the team after [Saturday's] game that we needed to come out and attack right away early in the ball game. It set the tone for the entire day and made them go to their bullpen right away in the second inning.

It was a huge win and I think the biggest win of our year, quite frankly. Wake Forest has a good team and this puts us in a good position in the league after going about a third of the way through.

I don't think Doolittle had his real good fastball that he typically does, and they are a great hitting team. They are hitting .350 for a reason. When Doolittle doesn't have his best stuff and you are on the road against a great opponent it is going to be difficult to win.

The infield here is rock hard. The ball comes off the ground extremely fast and David made an error and that happens, but he came back and got a big, clutch hit for us when his team needed it and got us back into the ballgame.
