I thought after that goal that we would finally get going. We had our chances. We just couldn't get the ball in the net.

The whole team played well. There was not a weak link in our starting 11. We played hard, and we played strong.

They came out and played hard. They are a hard-nosed team. I'm impressed with the way they played. I don't think we were fully prepared with what they brought us, but once we settled down it worked, and it took us a while to get going. It's a great rivalry, and it's only going to get better in the future.

I just think it's a great thing for both teams to have something to play for. It adds a finale to the season. I give [Willis head] coach Gonzales credit for coming up with it.

We're a young program. Last year they made the playoffs. This year we have a lot of different girls. Last year was a great experience. The girls have more expectations for themselves this year. We're not looking past this game. We want to keep playing.

It's been a special year for us. We've had a really good season. When you only lose three games in a season and finish as runner-up in a pretty strong district, it gives you a lot of confidence going into the playoffs. We need to use that confidence the right way.

We've really counted on them. When those two have exceptional games, all the other girls rise up around them and play.

We've really done remarkable. We couldn't have scored as many goals (around 70 for season) or won as many games without the way the defense has supported us. They've played strong every game.

The girls played outstanding. The girls played through injuries and played with a lot of heart.

It's the first [second place] title of any type or trophy for the three year program. It's a wonderful feeling for a three year program to be this far in so little time.

They showed a lot of courage coming back in the second half. I was very proud of them.

This tells me that my girls can play. Anderson is a 5A powerhouse and we hung with them and outplayed them. We are a great team.

In my opinion this tie is one of the greatest ties or wins in the short history of the Montgomery Bears soccer team. This has really put us on the map.

The girls played beautifully. It was probably the most intense game I've seen them play. They overcame a lot of nerves and anxiety to rise up. I'm so proud of them.

Defensively Stephanie Walker had one of her best games. She made a lot of game breakaway stops and saves.
