It's an incredible serve. It's not a function of how fast it is. The trajectory is the main issue. You're lunging, but then it's up. You're sort of diving, but then you can't reach it. |
It's been a long time since I've felt good on the court. It's just getting tiring, that's all. I've been through it before but each time it gets tougher. I mean, it's a delicate juggling act to try to balance everything in your life on and off the court, negotiate your health, everything that goes into being your best at every stage. It feels substantially different. |
It's been a long time since I've felt good on the court. It's just getting tiring, that's all. It never feels good when you're losing often. You know, to have a few good wins and have a good tournament would help me, remind me right now why I'm doing this. But as of right now it's hard to feel that thrilled about it. |
It's been a tough road but a great road, |
It's been a tough road but Roger played way too good today, so congratulations to him and well done. |

It's disappointing to lose, ... But the first thing you have to assess is why did you lose. I just lost to a guy that's better. There's only so long you can deny it. He's the best I've ever played against. |
It's easy to see why he's won so many matches, |
It's frustrating. It's been a long time since I've felt good on the court. It's just getting tiring, that's all. |
It's good to be back on the court healthy and excited. I am still not as comfortable, and that will take a couple of matches. But what was important was that I was getting into good positions, which means I am moving well. |
It's hard for me to put it in context, ... I can say I enjoy playing there more than anywhere else in the world. When you step on the court there, regardless of how you feel, you always push yourself to get the most. |
It's hard to hope for much better. |
It's just been terrible this year for the number of players who haven't been ready to play here, |
It's like a car going uphill with no brakes. You're either going forward or backwards. I feel like when I'm at home watching it, I'm going backwards. |
It's not a function of how fast it is because a lot of guys can serve it 135-plus, ... The trajectory is the main issue because you're lunging, but then it's up. You're sort of diving, but then you can't reach it, even if you dive perfectly and on cue. |
