For the long haul, I'm actually excited because the balance is good and it's tunable. I like that a lot. Through the night I like it because the car runs better in the cold. It was doing really well in the cooler air - we've run fast.

He's been doing this forever, over and over. He's one of the rocks on the team.

I didn't touch him the entire time. He just got a bunch of bad breaks in traffic, but I'll take it any day.

I feel bad for Ron and Paul; they were doing so well. For myself, it was a heated battle with the #21 BMW and we couldn't get by. I think we had the faster car, though. You hate to lose when the win could have been yours but we gained some ground in points and it's a big help towards the championship. We're also proving how competitive this car is - Jan and Paul won the last race - and we've had two other fourth place finishes so far. Not bad for starting mid-season.

I knew right before we went to that last yellow caution that Spencer didn't really have a lot of rear tire left. So I gave him room on the restart so as not to be on top of him and have the other competition right behind me. I opened on the guy behind me, and when I got to 'Spence' his tires were already off a lap or two and I could make my move. Today was one of the toughest races mentally because it was such a good race; plus we needed to get points for the championship lead. I'm really glad we did it, though.

It was just awesome to win. It finally feels good to get a win after two podium finishes.

Our car ran great. We adjusted on it slightly throughout the day, and it really responded well to change. We fell back early, but were able to rally back and run at the front. The team did a great job on the pit stops and everything went according to plan.

That's the beauty of the Grand-Am Cup. We've got 70 cars out there, and this is one of my favorite tracks. It's about traffic management.

The race was really going our way at the beginning. Marc did an excellent job and brought the car into the pits in second place. We had trouble with my seat insert and we took too long getting me belted in, we gave away a win today. It is nice to leave with the points lead, but we left win on the track.

There was a bunch of pressure to win here. I think it's a huge achievement for us and the team and GM. It's nice to bring happiness to the people who build it.

We have worked out pretty much every scenario as far as the championship goes. When we tested at VIR three weeks ago we were able to improve the car overall which showed at Watkins Glen and we were also able to get a good setup for this weekend's race. Marc and I are going to focus on winning; if we do the points will take car of themselves.
