I have been playing catch and in the next few weeks I hope to be in the cage doing some hitting. There is a good possibility I could be back in September with the team but if not I will definitely be in the 2006 line-up. |
I have no doubt in my mind my playing ability, ... I can still play the game at a high level. I just have a short period of time and hopefully it doesn't hurt the team. That's the one thing that goes in the back of my mind. They've been there all year. Their timing is a little bit better than mine. I'm having to make fast adjustments for 20 baseball games. |
I have so much on my shoulders, so much weight on my back. Constantly climbing that hill is getting a lot harder and harder by the day. But I'm going to climb it, no matter what. |
I have to put everything in my first at-bat, all my energy. |
I haven't thought about that right now. I'll think about it later. |
I just feel like I want to go back to San Francisco and be with these guys, ... I'm ready to go home. |
I just pointed to him just to show him I've got more to my game than just swinging. |
I just prayed, brother. That's it. I thought, 'Why me?' |
I just put it off the field so no one would get hurt. |
I just want to get in the best shape I can, and be able to go out there and help this team win a division, ... We've still got time and I think we've still got a chance, and I want to do it. I want to be a part of it. Even if it's a short amount of time, I want to be a part of it. |
I just want to get it and move on to something else. |
I just want to go back to San Francisco, play with these guys and give us every chance we have to get to the playoffs. I want to see the fans of San Francisco. I miss the city, I just want to go home. I can't wait to go home. |
I just want to win a championship. I'm playing to win a championship. That's the only thing that keeps me going. ... The only thing keeping me in the game of baseball right now is trying to win a championship for the team, trying to win a championship with a bunch of guys. |
I like to be against the odds. I'm not afraid to be lonely at the top. With me, it's just the satisfaction of the game. Just performance. |
I may hit the ball 410 feet and the next one isn't going to go 410 feet, ... Maybe I'll grab my rib cage. That's life. I'm OK with it. |
