I felt that once we got to the 31, 32 yard line, we were in field goal range. We didn't want to get in the situation where we throw a couple incomplete passes and Pittsburgh had another timeout. It's like basketball; we were playing for the last shot. |
I found out about it the middle of last night, ... I coached this game with a heavy heart. |
I have a lot of respect for what those (three players) have done, especially Rohan, who has been here for three years. He's been a great leader and has done, really, everything that we asked him to. |
I have a lot of respect for what Tom thinks and what he says. I don't really have any problem with what he said. |
I have all the respect in the world for Rodney Harrison. I told him that when we brought him here, and he's made great contributions to this team. There's no question about it. Unfortunately, he had a tough setback last weekend and so did the team, but that's the way it is. We're playing San Diego this week. Unfortunately, he won't be with us. I wish he was, but he's not. |
I have all the respect in the world for Rodney Harrison. In terms of his commitment to the game, his work ethic and his attitude, he?s an exemplary player, but I think we have a lot of players on our defense I?d say similar things about. He works hard, he?s aggressive, he?s tough and he puts as much of his heart into the game as he possibly can. He?s a team captain and a leader. I don?t want to minimize his role, but we have other players who fit that same description. |
I have so much respect for Keenan and I'm really proud to have coached him. I'm not saying that I developed his career or anything, I don't mean it that way, but I mean just what he brought as a player, his work ethic, his attitude . . . He's really a special guy. |
I haven't thought about it in a while. It's been such a gradual, steady thing. It wasn't like the room was dark and, all of a sudden, the light switch was flipped on. |
I just report his physical condition. That's all. |
I knew we could play better than we did early in the season. It's a credit to the players that they've turned things around. |
I learned a lot about receivers working with him and likewise. We tried to talk a lot about defensive backfield play as he was teaching the receivers how to beat the techniques that they were using, that type of thing. |
I mean, they're 7-0, ... They're undefeated. Until somebody beats them, I don't see how you can say anybody is any better than them. |
I never said that. I would never say that. I don't know what's going to happen. He's done it in the past, and if we needed him to do it again and we called upon him, I'm sure he would do it. |
I support whatever Tedy does 100 percent. He's part of the family. We all love him. The comments that he made are consistent with what we talked about in the past, so we're going to proceed on that course. |
I think all of the players on the team understand that they are going to be called on to do certain things, and for us to win and be successful, they need to do it, whatever it is, |
