There's no doubt now. The kids played unbelievable. I wish they were shooting tonight. But, no, they did a great job. They were ready to play. They weren't going to be denied tonight, I'll tell you that. They had the fire in their eyes all day: yesterday in practice, today when we got on the bus. They were ready to go from the drop of the puck. It was a great, great win for us. |
They did a good job of covering and picking up our sticks out front. It was tough to get second and third opportunities. They made it difficult. We kept going to the net, and like I said, a couple at the end there popped over the net and we hit the post in the second period. |
They have a very good goaltender (Mike Mahoney) and if he is on it's going to be a tough night. They don't do anything special but they are hard working, disciplined and they take the body so we are going to have to be ready. They know they can play with us. It's going to be a battle. |
They have been playing great down the stretch. They are disciplined, they are hungry, and they want to win. I just can't say enough about them. They are a great group of kids. They keep working and working every day, they bust their tails in practice. It's a tribute to them. |
We don't want to have a huge surge of water. We are always aware of erosion and what the power of water can do. |
We had some opportunities, but we just couldn't put it home. The puck didn't bounce our way tonight. |
We knew he was going to be good. He was very quick, he was really quick. One thing that impressed me the most about him was that he challenged the shooters. Those were the two biggest things I saw with him the freshman year. He also did a lot of work off ice, got into better leagues and worked hard to improve himself. |
